INSTRUCTIONS:
WARNING: Installation of any component or kit should be performed by persons experienced in the installation and proper operation of brake systems. It is also the responsibility of the person installing any brake component or kit to determine the suitability of the component or kit for that particular application.
Be sure to check that your kit has all the necessary parts needed to complete this project.
Start by disassembling front spindles, by removing backing plate, brake drums and shoes. Make sure you remove and clean all grease, and dirt from spindle shaft.
Install caliper bracket to spindle using supplied bolts, brackets should be pre assembled for you. (NOTE: Brackets are reversible, could be mounted in front or rear of the spindle to clear steering arm or sway bar.
Make sure that you pack inner wheel bearing with appropriate grease, to do this place a large dollop of grease on your palm of your hand, with your other hand push bearing into the grease until you see grease coming out of the bearing. Now insert inner wheel bearing onto rotor.
Next, place rotor face down and install the grease seal, mount rotor onto spindle and install packed outer wheel bearing followed by spindle washer and cotter pin.
Finally, install caliper on to the caliper bracket, using supplied bolt. Torque caliper bolts to bolt specs. Make sure the bleeder screws are on top position! Connect your brake hose to your original brake line, secure the brake hose, and bleed brake system.
IMPORTANT NOTE: After installation and before operating the vehicle a complete test function of the brakes under controlled conditions should be made. Make several stops in a safe area from low speed and gradually work up to normal speeds. DO NOT DRIVE WITH UNTESTED BRAKES! Always utilize safety restrains when operating the vehicle.
